"Eliassen Rorbuer is set in an exceptionally beautiful location, with stunning views across the fjord and convenient access to the main attractions throughout the Lofoten region. Our room was clean and comfortable, and waking up to the scenery each morning and enjoying it again in the evening was a real highlight. That said, the bedrooms were very small, and for the premium price, at least a queen-size bed should be standard. The property also feels somewhat tired overall and would benefit from renovation. The advertised saunas were unavailable during our stay, so we used the excellent facilities at the neighbouring hotel instead, which also offered easy access for a cold-water plunge. The onsite restaurant was satisfactory, although we found better dining options elsewhere. The hotel promotes its environmental initiatives, but with only eight EV chargers available, we had to travel elsewhere each day to charge our car. Overall, the location is outstanding, but the accommodation and facilities need investment to fully justify the price."

"La cuisine était très complète, avec même un lave-vaisselle. La chambre était grande et propre. Le propriétaire était très gentil, nous avons rencontré un problème au debut de notre séjour et il a été très courtois et a tout prix en charge pour le régler. L'hébergement est bien situé à Leknes à côté d'épiceries, de la gare d'autobus et de quelques boutiques et restaurants (parfait pour les gens qui voyagent sans voiture). C'est un hébergement convivial et accueillant que nous recommandons fortement!"

"What an incredible place to stay! The cabins are modern and clean. We received a warm welcome from Olaf. There’s a beautiful sauna and a BBQ gazebo where you can make dinner on fire. The location is also great - very close to some incredible beaches and hikes. Highly recommend staying here!"

"Staff were incredible - super friendly and helpful, more so than anywhere else we stayed all trip, they really made the stay for us. A few small maintenance issues, like the showers kept seeming to clog which meant there was often only one available on our floor - but this was probably the extent of our issues. Big, comfortable bed in our private room. Room was much bigger than we expected. Great to have access to laundry facilities and a well equipped kitchen (kitchen is small, but they’ve done a good job with what they have). All in all, a great budget place to stay in the Lofoten Islands. Great vibe, lovely staff."

"Enjoyed our stay at the Hemmingodden Lodge! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean, with beautiful views of the sea and mountains. Ballstad was a great location to explore Lofoten, the resort is in walking proximity to a grocery store as well!"
