"The ocean is beautiful and clear to swim in. The staff were wonderful and helpful. The rooms have a rustic ship type feel and were clean but there was a bit of a funky smell in the bathroom to be expected in an older hotel I think. Overall for the price it was a great location close to a lot of great restaurants and beautiful swimming."

"What a beautiful Resort. Carved into the coast of Italy, its really hard to imagine without being there. Sunsets were something to be adored from the garden terrace, having aperitivo, served by the most delightful staff. The room was absolutely wonderful, with a balcony overlooking the coast. Very comfortable and spacious. We did choose to visit the restaurant twice while there. The food, the service, Oh the wine list! All incredible. We also included the Beach club with our stay. It was a stunning place to visit for a couple of hours. Although there is no beach, there is water access, with life guards present. the water was very refreshing. Take the golf cart, the walk is something else if you choose. Parking was a breeze, and the trip to arrive was memorable as well. Such an amazing stay. Big thanks to all the staff that made our holiday wonderful."

"Check in staff/front office/spa reception staff/housekeeping/ breakfast and especially golf staff all very good. Sometimes breakfast coffee service was a bit slow and cappuccino not very warm. Also very surprised that 2 poached eggs cost €10 per person. Bell boy also very good"

Roccamare Resort - Le Dimore della Pineta

"We were confused with what Expedia listed this property as since we thought we were staying a hotel. We ended up in a little villa with a kitchen which was fine as I used it to cook and as I’m Italian, we enjoyed it. My main criticism is the gym. It closes at 7PM. This is unacceptable by any standard. The gym was lovely but what is the point of having a gym if it closes too early. The point is to enjoy it and maximize daytime hours. At minimum it should close at 10pm. They we not reason whatsoever for it to close so early. We wanted a place with a gym and we didn’t want to sacrifice our daytime hours. This was not okay. Also, someone should look into the kitchens to ensure the basics are there. We had some basic things but not others. Overall though, we loved the fact the shoreline is not built and we saw glorious pine trees from the water, we had our dedicated beach chairs, it was absolutely peaceful! Would love to come back and we hope the gym hours change!"
