We had a wonderful six night stay recently. The owners and staff were super friendly and welcoming. The property is lovely with a very relaxing vibe, and lots of attention to detail. The food was excellent. My boyfriend appreciated the cigar lounge. We rented a car and found it accessible to beaches and restaurants for the evening. We would definitely go back! Merci for a wonderful stay!

Our stay here was lovely. The property itself and room was nice. The restaurant area with included breakfast was very pretty and had a lot of charm. Jennifer, the server was a friendly addition and knew our morning order by the second day. We were disappointed that by 9pm all the outdoor lights and music were shut off by the pool/courtyard. We found this to be really early, particularly after a full day when you look forward to quietly relaxing with a glass of wine. This was true all 3 evening we stayed, which was a shame as they have beautiful lighting that adds to ambiance. This place has a lot of character and charm. It was in a lovely location. I would recommend overall and was great value.

Everything about Villa Kapresse was excellent, from the welcoming entrance to the comfortable rooms to the large, lush, pool area. The people were wonderful and breakfast was more than the usual "continental". It's near the main road, so it can be noisy during the day (not at night and not in the rooms). We didn't have a car, but there are few nearby amenities, so it's easier if you do have one.

This is a quaint place off The beaten path owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. The chef is great. The grounds are beautiful lots of fruit trees very close to Loterie Farm and Grand Caste. About a 15 minute ride from the Dutch side.

It was like coming home! Villa Kapresse not only met our expectations, but surpassed them. We felt right at home from the very first night. We had dinner at the restaurant, which kicked off a perfect stay. The food was delicious and the ambiance was so relaxing. The continental breakfast was more than we could want, delicious fresh bread and our fruit and yoghurt bowls were excellent. The staff is beyond friendly and super helpful with ideas for things to do during the stay. Our room was super clean and thoughtfully decorated. The AC and fan worked great and the terrace was a nice surprise. The entire Villa is well maintained so we felt like we were in an exclusive space on the island. The location was perfect as we were centrally located. If you want a real home experience of St Martin, instead of the same ‘ol tourist stay, then book a stay at the Villa. You won’t regret it. Special thanks to Yohan and Jenifer (hope I spelled it correctly). We will be back and book here again!

Very nice guest house

It is a very nice guesthouse. However, it is a little tricky to find, and there are not many signs to guide you, just a very faded La Kapresse sign and a Sanctorium sign. The property is situated on a very busy road, so it can be quite noisy. However, the property and the staff are amazing. They also have a bar by the pool with happy hour, which is amazing when you come back from your excursions. Laura and Karim, the Venezuelan waitress, were amazing and made our stay truly special. I included some photos of the entrance to identify the guest house entrance.

There were lots that were great with the property: wonderful staff, the villa is beautiful and Angel makes one heck of a cocktail. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. Some of the not so great things were the bedding and towels weren’t overly soft, our room had some bulbs hanging out of the pot lights, the villa is right next to the main road so traffic is quite loud if you’re by the pool, and the area surrounding the villa looks run down. That all being said, given how expensive resorts are on the island, this is a great alternative. Its very chic and boutique, but very different than what you would find on a resort. Very much recommended if you’re looking for something different!

I had the best time during my stay here! By the end of the week I felt like family! The hosts are delightful, including the pups and turtles. Haha! The property is absolutely beautiful and safe. My room was clean, cozy and the AC worked well. The bed was comfortable too. The food options were amazing! Freshly made daily and so tasty! I enjoyed the company of everyone there as a solo traveler. We shared many laughs! I definitely recommend renting a car as taxis are pretty difficult to depend on. A car made things much easier! Pool was beautiful. Plenty of parking. Quick car ride to the beach! I WILL BE BACK! I miss my friends already! Thank you for making me feel at home!

I have stayed at Villa Kaprese twice in the last month - it is a delightful property that feels like home. Johann, the manager and the rest of the staff are welcoming and kind. The rooms are clean and spacious, breakfast is substantial and the garden/pool area is a great place to relax and unwind. I’ve found my spot in St. Martin!

Would have been a lovely stay, but….

The good: Beautiful property, especially the pool and dining area. Bathroom was perfect. The bad: Exceptionally R rude staff and management. Rock hard beds. Lack of outlets. Ants in room and bathroom upon arrival. Dirty sheets. Dried food on furniture. Expensive dining menu. Manager tried to blame ants on us stating we brought in food. Yes we did bring an enclosed container, but it went straight in the fridge and no way were ants able to notice fridge food in 15 minutes of our arrival then climb to the second hotel level.

We just loved everything about this property!! Angel the host and her family were so wonderful! We felt so safe and so welcomed. The rooms were amazing and the team made sure we had everything we needed at all times. I can not say enough great things about Kapresse! I have just experienced the most incredible villa, beach bar and restaurant of my life. All you need to remember is 978. Villa Kapresse du 978, 978 Beach Lounge and 978 Sanctorum. We started our vacation at the Villa, and from the moment we arrived we were treated to an amazing experience. Fritz the owner shows his passion for the property, staff and guests. He is going to host you like you are royalty. Our room was cool, clean and lovely with the most comfortable bed and amenities. Bianca is absolutely divine in 978 Sanctorum restaurant. She is absolutely lovely and her personality is so kind and caring. She has a wonderful laugh and smile, and her recommendations are spot on. We heard about the 978 Beach Lounge on Friars Beach, based on our fantastic experience at the Villa, we postponed Maho Beach to try the Beach Lounge. We couldn't have made a better choice. The food and drinks were phenomenal, and the location was private and beautiful. Finally, I mustn't forget about 978 Sanctorum Restaurant. Chef Loic is an unparalleled talent. From appetizer, to main and onto dessert, my taste buds and olfactory senses were taken to Heaven. I will return here time after time until I can no longer travel. Perfection is 978.
