Marrakesh-Tensift-El Haouz, Marrakech-Safi hotel rooms at the Relais & Chateaux

"I was really impressed by the artistic decorations and tranquility feeling of the hotel. The staff are professional and friendly. We originally planned to have hammam at the site, but as the heating was not working very well, the hotel refunded our money. The one-hour full body message was great!"

"Super cheap and cheerful. Nothing outstanding. Resorts and rooms very tired. Food was decent however drinks were not. No beer in restaurant, no ice creams included, snacks poor. Dinner times chaotic. We stayed for 4 nights - it’s not no where near as good as some of the reviews, but it isn’t terrible either. Just bang average. Water park pools bitterly cold (all except main) towels for pool a pain. Ours got soaked in a storm and initially they wouldn’t give us new ones as you’re only allowed to swap them every 2 days - and you need a deposit for them. Staff mostly unhelpful. A few stars - bag man was great, and cleaners were really good, as was the man who owned the shop on site. Showers went nuclear hot to stone cold all the time. Not good if you have kids! Our shower had tile missing and filler everywhere. Generally very tired. I presume 10 years ago it was the crown, not its more like a travelodge with extras. Hassle to check in, hassle to check out. Overall I’d give it 5.5 maybe 6 out of 10."

"Paper thin doors and walls. Impossible to get a good night rest as staff and guests start walking around and talking right by your door / window. Good breakfast. "

"It’s like staying in a night club - the roof bar plays very loud music until 2am. If you are on the 3rd floor it’s like the DJ is in your bedroom. The staff know this and pretend to care - but don’t do anything about it. In general staff are non responsive "
