Good value for the price

The place and service was amazing also great location. I’m ok with no AC as it’s a budget friendly location but there was no fan in the room either. I was sweating in my sleep like I do when I exercise.

It could have been better.

The room was great. Very convenient location. Check on person explained all I needed to know. There were 2 issues. The first night the remote control for the heating worked well but on the 2nd night it didn't and it was late on a Saturday. There was no support to sort it out and it was cold during the night. The bigger problem was the noise. On both nights there were was significant noise coming from large groups of youth enjoying themselves in the Piazza Mercurio. It was impossible to sleep until 2am! I was not told about this and I was not given a quiet room. Not even ear plugs. Awful, no relaxation at all. Very tired. Also the neighbours made lots of noise at checkout at 6am on Saturday early morning.

So relaxing - what a great hostel!

I had such a good time here. My room was lovely - the view of the piazza was so nice! The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the kitchens and lounge areas were great too! It is in a very good location in Massa. I had such a relaxing few days! I found a new home in Massa - grazie di cuore Ostello Palazzo Nizza. I'll be back!

Piacevolmente sorpreso! Situato in uno splendido palazzo (credo) ottocentesco in pieno centro storico, perfettamente ristrutturato e con una vista mozzafiato su piazza Mercurio e sul castello Malaspina, offre un ambiente comodo e silenzioso. La mia stanza era essenziale e il bagno era in comune ma ci sta, visto il prezzo. Suggerirei una maggiore cura nei dettagli (doccia sporchina e molto calcare) ma nel complesso molto buono. Unico vero neo, l’impossibilità di parcheggio (non dipende certo da loro) ma per fortuna ci sono due parcheggi pubblici nei dintorni, anche se strapieni nel fine settimana. Infine, occhio alla ztl, attiva ogni giorno dalle 17 alle 7 e h24 nei festivi. Personale simpatico e disponibile.

I bagni condivisi degli ostelli sono sempre un po' una incognita, ma sono rimasta molto stupita positivamente del nostro! Era condiviso con una sola altra camera e si trovava vicinissimo ad entrambe, per cui lo abbiamo usato come fosse nostro e ci siamo potuti fare una doccia in tutta tranquillità
