"We had a fantastic stay at Matobo Hills Lodge with family. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the view from our room and throughout the property was absolutely stunning. It's a peaceful, well-run place that made us feel right at home. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway! Our driver for the park tour, William, was also highly knowledgable of the area and very accomodating."

"We found the staff to be very polite, discreet but helped when approached. The receptionist who welcomed us was charming and knowledgeable. He explained the challenges they face due to existing infrastructure problems beyond their control. There was a very clean pool available, lots of different chairs and loungers around the pool including a hammock. The cover from the careful tree planting gave the feel of an oasis around the pool "

"99% of the time no internet connection, no electricity most of the time, unable to charge phones or access internet. Amenities were below standard. Kinda disappointed "

"The location is in the very centre of Bulawayo, with walking distance to both the Art Gallery (10 min) and The Natural History Museum (15 min). There are plenty of fast-food and restaurant options within minutes by foot from the hotel. Also, very easy to arrange pick-up/drop-off at the hotel as all tour operators doing excursions to Khami ruins, Great Zimbabwe ruins and Matobo NP know it. The Selborne Hotel is clean, neat and I recommend it. Excellent location and very helpful staff. Some details in my room would need an update, but all in all a really pleasant stay!"
