"Room was massive, double the size of any room we have stayed in in Japan. Pillows had both Western and traditional Japan options. Fiona was encompassed in a fitted sheet (never seen this before) but kept us all warm even when it was sub 0 outside. Room had access to outdoor area, exclusive to the room, which had table and chairs. As it was an insensitive, there was only a toilet in the room - all showering had to be done downstairs in the onsen. Onsen was boiling hot - too hot for most of our group. Tip - if you don’t want to keep pushing the button to keep the water going har a shower in the onsen on the left. Location wise was great too - couple of minutes to the train (although up a very steep hill) and near lots of restaurants and the bus for the Snow Monkeys. Enjoyed our stay and would stay here again."

The staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and cared for throughout our stay. Having a private onsen that we could reserve was the perfect touch. "Staff was very kind, even with the language barrier, were more than helpful. Rooms were well equipped with extra blankets and mattresses. The hotel bus drove us to the Monkey park and to the train station upon checkout. Onsen was very hot and clean. Would love to come back! "

"Clean room. Room size was good. Friendly staff. Free to borrow umbrellas. Free coffee in lobby. We did not eat breakfast there. Dinner was good. We went in November, hotel didn't seem very busy. The town seems quiet. Very close to train station. We went to the snow monkey park and Obuse. "

"We stayed for 3 nights with breakfast included. The property manager and staff were very nice and accommodative. They gave us free use of the SUPs and kayaks which was lots of fun. The rooms were nice and freshly renovated. Highly recommended for either a summer stay to enjoy the lake activities or a winter stay to hit the nearby slopes. Thanks!"
