“We loved the Ecolodge de Simal. It's really off the beaten track (quite literally so), but once you get there, the location is wonderful: right on the water. We were there for three nights. The food was plentiful, fresh, and tasty; the free activities (like a excursion en pirogue) was wonderful; the pool is chlorinated and clean; the rooms are rustic with open air bathrooms and toilets, but comfortable; the housekeeping good; the bar/restaurant staff friendly. It's not a "luxury"...

“I had 1 night and 1 day as transit in Dakar, so I was searching for a place where I can chill, and I don’t regret my choice at all ! I took this hotel cause it had a spa, and when I arrived, they upgraded me and I got a jacuzzi in my room! fantastic! the terasse opens on the beautiful pool, the breakfast was very nice, and the staff super welcoming and smiling. “Rating is adjusted for price which was very low. AC worked. Mosquito nets over bed were good. Screens had holes and windows didn’t quite close entirely, so definitely had mosquitos as close friends. Great service.”
