"I have stayed at the Hilton Rome Airport at least six times over the years, and unfortunately this was by far my worst experience.
Check-in was unusually slow, although I do appreciate that my request for a lower-floor room was accommodated. Unfortunately, the stay itself was very disappointing. I was kept awake until well past 11:30 PM by what sounded like furniture being moved repeatedly in the room above me. I contacted the front desk to complain, but nothing was done to resolve the issue.
The soundproofing also seemed very poor during this stay. I could clearly hear conversations from the room next door, as well as their alarm going off at 4:30 AM. After a long travel day, getting almost no sleep was extremely frustrating.
Dinner in the restaurant was acceptable, but unlike previous visits where the food was very good, this time it arrived cold.
The one consistent positive was the staff, who as always were professional, informative, and courteous throughout my stay. That level of service is the reason I continue to return, but this particular visit fell far below the standard I’ve come to expect from the hotel."
