I think it’s a few years since it had a refurbishment and some areas looked a little tired but well maintained on a day to day basis. Food is well presented. “Mi experiencia en este hotel está foi muy decepcionante. Desde el primer día hemos tenido varios problemas que, a pesar de haber sido comunicados al personal, no han sido solucionados. Pagué por una habitación con vista al mar, pero nos alojaron en el primer piso con un árbol justo enfrente de la ventana. Es imposible disfrutar de la vista al mar por la que pagamos. “Seth 55 is an excellent hotel. All staff go above and beyond to be courteous, polite, helpful and friendly. The hotel is in an elevated position but not too far to walk to the beach and crystal blue sea. We did not use the spa but the whole hotel is spotlessly clean, the food in the restaurant is varied daily and of excellent quality. The entertainment every evening was excellent too. “Having stayed at a different Barcelo this one was below par. Complained about tv signal on night 1 and nothing done to rectify for 25 hours, even then it didn't work again the entire time. Complained a 2nd time and still nothing done. Staff were not very helpful. Air-conditioning not working in gym. Disappointed in this compared to our previous stay in lanzarote which was outstanding”

“As soon as you arrive you are stunned how clean and manicured the property is. You are welcomed by lovely staff at the reception who are very helpful and informative, they take you to your room which were of excellent standard. The pool area is wonderful, quiet and relaxing. They have a restaurant which has a simple choice of food which we found very good. Breakfast time again is of simple food but again very good. All the staff are friendly and helpful, we would highly recommend a stay.”
