Classic France, mostly amazing with a few niggles.

I stayed here on the last night of an 11 day tour of Europe. When you arrive the patio and view captivate the senses. It is perfect for an afternoon sharing drinks with friends. The oool is delightful, well maintained with plenty of loungers and useful materials to hand. I started with lunch having arrived just after midday. The food was fantastic, the service excellent and attentive. The menu is limited BUT terroir and seasonality clearly hold influence here. I spent a lovely afternoon on the pool deck. In the evening I dined again on the veranda. Once again the food was delightful and exquisitely presented. The wine list was superb and covered all price ranges and tastes. The view, across the wooded Moselle valley are a carnival of Jades and Emeralds. I went to the river for a walk after dinner and was treated with spotting a Kingfisher ( martin-pêcheur) zipping along the water like a miniature bolt of lightening. The accommodation block and the accommodation is the bit that fails to meet ones hopes. The rooms and decor are dated, the bathrooms, while functional were poorly laid out (shower enclosure at other end of bath to shower with no shower hook, toilet in a room so small as to necessitate leaving the door open as sitting was a bit cramped). It is, then classic French, in so much as underinvested BUT awash with sensory delights. The staff were all lovely. I will, if I can, return.

Also, der Pool war OK und die Betten neu und gut. Ansonsten ist es ein Ausflug in die 1960er, in Stil, Ausstattung, Komfort. Miniaturtoiletten für Zwerge (ca.0,5 qm, ca. 30 cm hoch). Das Restaurant hat 3 (drei) Gerichte anzubieten, alle sehr TK-gerecht und nicht sehr professionell zubereitet. Bei 30° im Freien werden Weißwein und Wasser handwarm serviert. Anspruch (3*) und Realität, Preis/Leistungsverhältnis verblüffend.

environnement sympa, hôtel désuet, odeur des cuisines dans la chambre, très froid même après avoir mis le radiateur à fond. temporisation d'éclairage dans les toilettes ne permettant pas de faire la petite commission… présence sur la table de chevet d'un journal déjà lu de la semaine dernière. télé ave un décodeur TNT à l'utilisation fastidieuse. très mal insonorisé. j'ai assisté au réveil d'un voisin avec son passage aux toilettes et à la salle de bain.

A proximité de mes clients situés au sud est de Nancy, je reviendrai dans cet hotel au calme. Les chambres sont confortables et le restaurant tout à fait bien. Le restaurant de la Maison Carrée, à 100m, est aussi une bonne table.

A good city escape but VERY little in the vicinity

Hotel was beautifully set, well maintained, friendly staff, and reasonably priced. The only drawback is there is nothing much to do in the vicinity. Méréville has nothing in th way of bars or shops, and the one local restaurant was pricey, and nothing to write home about. We ended up driving the 15km into Nancy most days for food, etc., butonce you are happy with this, the hotel makes an excellent escape from it all for a few days.
