“There were lots of pool tiles inside the pool that were either missing or loose both on the floor of the pool and surrounding the inside of the pool. The larger tiles were also extremely dirty and it felt like the pool could need a really good clean, although the water did appear to be clean and was a lovely tepid temperature ”

“Hotel Rio Malecon is a great hotel! Friendly staff and an excellent restaurant, Coexist Bistro (Italian/Mexican). The property itself is a little dated but the rooms are very clean, the beds are comfy and the air conditioning works great! There is a unique pool and lounge area in the courtyard too! You can't beat the location right on the malecon with tons to do and see all within walking distance. See you soon!”

“This is my third time staying at El Emperador and it’s been great. The manager Gervacio and the staff are amazing. You’re literally 30 feet from the beach and walking distance from a ton of restaurants & bars. If you stay there get a junior suite or higher as those have excellent views and are more spacious.”
