"Last minute while at airport I received an email to say that the place reserved was no longer available. After being on the phone for over an hour I was offered another place which was smaller. I had no choice but to take it or me and my kids would have been on the street. Upon entering the place, it was immediately noticed that it was not clean, no light bulbs, 1 tv in one of the bedrooms. "Room was clean but had a damp smell the first day. With a little personal housecleaning smell no longer exists. We were offered another room. Because of the breath taken view, we kept the same room. Staff, was extremely friendly and always greeted us with a smile, with the exception of a few. However everyone is entitled to an off day. We did not utilize the swim up bar, but it was always full. Balcony amazing, but needed a light bulb. Minor improvements needed, but will definitely return!"

"We had such a wonderful stay at Tower Island! The setting is absolutely beautiful, with stunning ocean views and that relaxed Jamaican atmosphere you hope for when you come on vacation. The staff were friendly, welcoming and genuinely made us feel looked after throughout our stay. The grounds are gorgeous, the rooms were comfortable, and everything felt peaceful and well cared for. We especially loved being able to relax by the water, enjoy the beautiful scenery and just completely switch off. The food was very good, and there was plenty of choice. What really stood out, though, was the warmth of the people — everyone we met was helpful and made our trip feel special. Jamaica is a beautiful country, and Tower Island was a fantastic place to enjoy it. We left with some lovely memories and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing Caribbean getaway. Thank you for a wonderful stay — we’ll miss Jamaica"

"Our stay at Whispering Seas was lovely. It did start out a little rocky, but Melanie, Melanie, Melanie!! The communication with Melanie was top-tier, and she addressed our issue immediately. I am planning on returning with my entire family next year and hope Melanie will have space to accommodate us all. Two suggestions I have are: having 2 blow dryers available to those who frequent the pool/beach, and a full-length mirror. I have to add that the location is perfect, as it is right outside of Ocho Rios, less than 10 minutes from the hustle and bustle. I am already missing the views and hearing the waves crashing along the shore. Thanks, Melanie for an awesome week away."

"The room and bathroom were clean and spacious. The staff were courteous and helpful. The Jamaican breakfast was delicious. The air conditioning along with the fan worked well. Good running water in the shower. The grounds were well kept. I have absolutely no complaints. When I saw the hotel rating I was curious as to how this older hotel has such an excellent rating (9/1 0). There was nothing here that could be considered modern except for their brilliant idea to use solar panels as covering for the car park. What makes this hotel a winner, I believe, is the quiet, laid back, relaxing atmosphere (old charm) away from the crowds associated with large all-inclusive resorts."
