Top Middleton Hotel Reviews
Eastwood Hall
8/10 Good
"Family of 2 adults + 2 children aged 12 & 15 for 3 nights. On balance a reasonable hotel and enjoyed the stay. Plenty of parking, nice grounds, check in was easy & room well presented. Rooms were serviced daily. Only minor gripe with room was the extract fan in the bathroom either didn't work or wasn't up to the job & as a result the bedding felt a little damp due to steam from the bathroom (window only opened a little bit so hard to air the rom out). Breakfast was not to bad. Hot selection was decent, items would run out at peak times but were quickly re-stocked by very hard working staff. The main restaurant was being refurbished so dining was held in one of the conference suites, with overspill into the ample corridors which also contained a variety of tables and chairs, although to be fair it seemed to work very well. We had one evening meal there & it was a decent standard. Clearing the tables at breakfast times was a bit slow (food re-stocking being the priority), so could have done with a few more staff I think. Bar area was decent & although we didn't eat in it the food looked good. Games room was good (table tennis, pool, snooker, various board games, X box & TV & although normally accessed through the fitness suite, if you asked you could gain access out of hours later in the evening. Pool is small & segregated for over 18s & kids. Teens who want to swim therefore are unfortunately uncatered for. Same with gym - my 15yr who likes the gym was too young."
Palace Hotel & Spa Buxton
8/10 Good
"We stayed for 2 nights, the hotel looks very nice from the outside & the foyer is well maintained. The room was fit for purpose, there is no room service while we stayed & if towels or extra coffee are needed then reception needs to be contacted. The bed was king size, but it was 2 beds pushed together, but was comfortable for staying there. The parking is extra, £5 per 24 hours, & the car park is big, so we had no issues with parking, although if an event was on, it may fill up quickly. The hotel is also close to the railway station & the town centre is easy to walk to."

"Lovely old building and lido in a great location to explore the area. Staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant / bar and food were very good. We’d happily return."
