Only one place I could stay in this south suburb of Matsue, which is closer to my destination of visit. It's cheap so no fridge, no microwave, which made a little difficult for my 5 night stay.

Excellent location by the train station and very friendly staff.

English translation follows. I recently stayed at the Yukai Resort. One issue my group ran into was that there is no wheelchair ramp from outside into the lobby, and we required additional assistance to get into the building. However, everything else was great. The staff are friendly, breakfast and dinner buffets were amazing, the Japanese-style rooms were wonderful, and the onsen and public baths were superb. Thank you to the staff for their flexibility and assistance in meeting our unique needs during our stay. One final note: this area of Japan does not have a lot of English speakers, so if you are an English-only traveler you may have difficulty at this location.

Atmosphere is amazing!! Your shoes will be stored at the locker at the lobby, going around the tatami floor of the entire building makes me feels like at home. Room and areas through out the hotel is clean and nice. Onsen is top notch. Also a free late night Ramen per night of stays was delicious. However, laundry (drying machine) instruction in english is not correct, plus most front desk personnel does not understand english, which created a bit of a run around to get things right.
