Falls wir wieder nach Minden fahren, buchen wir uns hier wieder ein. Frühstück sehr gut und reichlich. Bahnhof in unmittelbarer Nähe, eine Station und man ist in Bückeburg, Hubschraubermuseum, Schloß Bückeburg hat immer einen sehr schönen Weihnachtsmarkt. Minden ist sehr sauben, nicht zu vergleichen wie Köln.

Das Personal war sehr nett. Die Einrichtung ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen. Auf Grund des Verkehrslärms haben wir die Fenster nicht geöffnet. Aber insgesamt war es ein angenehmer Aufenthalt.

Das Hotel entsprach genau meinen Erwartungen. Es liegt direkt am Bahnhof und wenige Minuten Fußweg von der Innenstadt entfernt, die Lage könnte also nicht besser sein. Schon im Vorfeld war das Personal äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Haus ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber deswegen nicht weniger charmant. Schmunzeln musste ich über das Hinweisschild im Badezimmer über der Toilette, da stand auf Englisch: "Dear guests! Please do not throw pads and tampons And wet toilet paper in the toilet DANGER OF CONSTITUTION!" Gemeint war vermutlich "constipation", aber diese Übersetzung von "Verstopfung" gilt nur für lebende Organismen, nicht für Abflussrohre. Gewarnt wird folglich vor der Gefahr einer Verfassung.

Keine kostenlosen parkplätze, Frühstücksbuffet war reichlich, die Brötchen allerdings gefühlt von vor drei Tagen, damit hätte man Nägel in die Wand kloppen können, die "warmen Speisen" waren relativ kalt und schmeckten wie aufgewärmt vom Vortag. Das Zimmer war ok, das Bad war recht klein, allerdings war der Wasserdruck in der Dusche hervorragend und steckte einen Hochdruckreiniger locker in die Tasche. Jetzt fehlt mir zwar sämtliche Körperbehaarung, dafür bin ich sauber bis auf die Knochen. Auch die Nasennebenhöhlen und die Stirnhöhlen sind nun porentief rein.

Wir wurden gut empfangen. Alle offenen Fragen wurden sofort beantwortet. Die Möglichkeit Fahrräder abzustellen wurde super gelöst. Der Abend klang mit mehreren Gästen in der Bar aus.
