“Staff was lovely. So quiet! We walked to dinner and though it felt perfectly safe they sent a security guard along with us who then returned for our walk home. They even sent us with packed breakfasts before our early flight (which we didn’t even ask for!) Breakfast was lovely the day we were able to eat there too. ”

“Beautiful old mansion house converted to a lovely hotel. It was very quiet when we were there with just 1 or 2 other guests, but they looked after us well. Rooms newly redecorated (we loved the Galápagos room with undersea mural and in room clawfoot bath. Walkable to old town (15 minutes) and basilica (5 minutes) but not at night. “We had a wonderful time at Casa Hotel Las Plazas. We really appreciated how attentive the whole staff (family) were to our needs, including scheduling of transfers. We loved the breakfasts and the explanations of the local foods and fruits.”

“Love the hotel. Big room with a view on the square. We stayed to nights and found the location perfect for walking or taking an Uber. Water and tea available in the lobby. ”

Breakfast is wonderful, as is the customer service. There was not a single thing that wasn't first rate. “Casa San Marcos hotel was amazing! Such beatiful building ( was build in 1702) with all its antiques, arts all over and modern amenities for very special and unique stay. We felt we were staying in a castle two centuries ago though with all the modern day comfort and luxury.”

Not walking distance from your typical Holiday Inn and restaurants but closer to the typical Ecuadorian life style and food. Its like a maze inside the hostel with creaking wood floor.”
