The property itself was beautiful with a great pool with a view. The hotel had a large group of students that night and so perhaps things might be better another time. We were in a separate out-building where the bed was terrible -- an old spring mattress where you could feel the springs and it sagged. We suspect the main-house rooms may be better. Also, the hot water failed and the fix for it did not work so we had cold showers in the morning. The hostess realized the problem and gave us a parting gift of some of their own made honey and so tried to make up for it. But they really need to get a new mattress for the room we were placed in.

Perfect for an escape from modern life

The accommodation was fine, the rooms are basic but totally sufficient, we had a little kitchen in our room and the fridge was invaluable for keeping water cold. The areas were all clean and the pool was great. One of the staff members spoke no English at all and even when using google translate was a little ‘off’, a bit of customer service would have been nicer. There is a little chapel on the site too. Breakfast was sweet, cake and jam tarts. The coffee was delicious. The nearest supermarket (read corner shop) was a drive away and like most Italian villages, closed at the most inconvenient time. Though it did have fresh bread, meats, cheese and fruit etc. You can’t buy anything on site, so drinks and any snacks would need to be bought beforehand. I would stay here again, but I’d be more prepared and bring a few supplies with me.

abbiamo pagato 90 euro a sera colazione inclusa per poi arrivare li e pagare la colazione 21 euro al mattino perche per loro non risultava inclusa nonostante io avevo il mess sul tel e la risposta alla mail dicendoci di averci fatto pure lo sconto perche la colazione costa 7 euro a persona e noi eravamo in quattro in tre giorni non e mai passato nessuno a pulire a cambiare gli asciugamani a portare la carta non si e visto nessuno
