"We had to book this hotel at the last minute due to a VRBO mis communication for our 3 night stay. The hotel has a lovely pool and restaurant on the 7th floor. Dining in the restaurant was convinenet and delicious. We only had the continental breakfast on our last morning and it was good but completely over-priced."

"It's an economy chain hotel and seems well run. Clean, anonymous, organized. Bathroom and shower are nice with enough room for toiletries. Breakfast fine, though maybe a touch overpriced. Bed fairly comfortable but the "premium bedding" was synthetic (microfibre) and a bit uncomfortable. The duvet was too heavy for the temperature level in the room (not able to adjust). Perfectly fine hotel for what it is and worth the price."

Mercure Montpellier Centre Antigone

"Newly reburbished room (so disregard any online review pics from last year). Very comfortable bed with a nice armchair and large desk area. Lovely new bathroom with big walk in shower. The AC was also lovely and cold. Only downside is that standard rooms don't have a mini-fridge (even tho there's a recess made for one with a plug). The executive rooms do have them. The location is a bit out of town, about 20 mins walk (but you can cut through the large Polygone shopping centre). However, right outside is both the airport shuttle bus stop and a tram station which takes you into the action in 10 mins. They run every few mins and a 2 or 3 day unlimited pass is only 10 or 12 euros so you can pop back to the room easily during the day."

"Very nice hotel by the station in the centre of Montpellier, convenient for walking to the Comedie and old town areas. Our room was clean and well appointed. We appreciated the coffee maker! Only issues were 1) headroom, a low ceiling beam above the beds and in the bathroom of in the room itself and high level boxing in the corridor outside (and I am only 1m80!). 2) for reduced mobility guests, while there is a lift the corridor to our room had two short stairs and when we arrived at about 16:30 the corridors were completely cluttered by vacuum cleaners and linen changing (see photo)"
