“The person who checked us in was terrific. We had a problem with the initial room and he gave us a complimentary upgrade. We really appreciated that. The listing says they are not white glove. Let's just say this is a man hotel for fishermen and hunters. Care was not given to dusting or comfortable beds and pillows. It would be nice if they invested in new beds especially. We didn't eat at the cafe, but I did look at the menu. The prices for Alaska are pretty decent.”

This is a great resort, at first when I read about this resort I thought they misspelled the name but actually it is called Alyeska Resort. This resort has a long history and it is located in a forest, right beneath Alyeska Mountain. Great drive from Anchorage to Girdwood with breathtaking views of Turnagain Arm, where are several places where you can take photos. “Cute Inn really only place to stay and it was right on the water. Great location if you are coming by train or taking a cruise. The front desk is often not there. It’s a small mom and pop place, but very cute place overall.”

“The Ski Inn would be a great place as a medium sized family gathering or just as a drop-in off the road & leave next morning or after a day of sking. “We stayed for two nights. The lodge is halfway between Seward and Exit Glacier. The view is amazing. The room has a small fridge but no microwave. There isn’t a way to heat anything so it’s a a challenge to not eat out. The restaurant is close but it is super expensive for breakfast and the hotel coffee shop is also pricey. Go into town for breakfast. There is limited cell service and the WiFi is spotty. Stay here for the location and the view.”

“This resort is fabulous! Maddie is a fabulous host along with her family. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and relaxing! The attached restaurant next-door has the very best crab legs I’ve ever had. The service was phenomenal too. Be sure and order the breakfast in the morning. It’s homemade and very tasty. I can’t say enough about this resort. Thank you again Maddie for memorable stay!”

“Arrived after an evening cruise-so around 10p, room was ready & entry was easy to find. Staff was helpful to show the way around & paper labeling info made it easy. my bed had a curtain through stairs but right below the kitchen. most people were asleep but there are no quiet hours & some people were speaking where you could hear until after midnight. “This was the worst property we have ever been at. We left immediately as it was so dirty. There was spider in a web in the bath. The coffee pot had water in it, there was no hot water, the bed had crumbs in it. There was a ton of water damage on the ceiling. No soap or shampoo. It just was disgusting. After a 5 minute walkthrough we went back to the office and attempted to cancel. This was immediate. Frankly, Expedia should take this off their site. It was unclean!”

“What a great experience! The Yurt was great! It was super clean and cozy. The bed was very comfortable! There is no bathroom in the Yurt - - there are portable toilets and a shower a short walk away. Overall I would recommend this for a unique Alaska experience!”

“It was one of the best lodge we chose during this one week vacation to Alaska. We will go back again if we visit there and recommend highly. The best part is that they allow us to use their kayak free. The Bear Creek Lake was peaceful and breathtaking scenery. The host is very friendly and professionally manage the Bed & Breakfast.
