โThis accommodating, family-run inn on the banks of the Avonmore and Avonbeg rivers -- the famed "meeting of the waters" is a comfortable and welcoming space in a recently refurbished inn from the late 1800s. Best for guests with access to a car, The Meetings is still very manageable without one, since the Local Link bus stops four times a day for travel to nearby Wicklow Town and other villages as well as the gorgeous Glendalough region with its famed walks and historic ruins. โThe location is in the countryside with 40 shades of green all around. The location served as our base for exploring Glendalough, which was one of the top places to see on our 3-week trip, as well as Powerscourt Gardens, Waterfall, and other attractions such as Lough Tay and the bridge from the movie, "P.S. I Love You". My wife loved the washer/dryer in the apartment. โ
โA stunning place to stay for our few days in the area. We canโt say enough how lovely the place was. If we are ever back to Ireland we would definitely stay here againโ
โWe had a wonderful room and the bar/restaurant was open and delicious. We were right next to a gas station that had a public washer and dryer which we took advantage of. I highly recommend this inn.โ
โVery welcoming staff and owners...even the local people friendly towards us too...beautiful room, just right for 2 people...also stunning landscape around you...we will be back for sure!! Good choices of breakfast and restaurant serves home made stuff, and their own beef...โ
โThis place was so cute. I only stayed for one night but I wish I had stayed longer. Very clean and cute. You could tell a lot of love and care had been put into the decor. Everything felt cozy and homey. They even had coffee and cookies available in the room. And they provided a little binder full of hiking spots, restaurants, and things to do nearby which was very helpful. If I ever come through this town again o will definitely stay at Madelineโs. โ
