Smell of curry cooking, could not read numbers on stove controls, no toilet paper, toilet loose on floor, only one tv channel, run out of gas so no hot water until following day, electric kettle leaking and could not use when toaster being used or fuse would blow, crockery put in pantry when wet, microwave too high on fridge"

"Location was good and clean. Paying full amount before arriving not desirable. TV selection minimal. We spoke with owner only once at beginning of our stay only because we caught them as they were leaving, hospitality non existent."

"Quiet location but a very long way from town and with steep hills. Although modernised, poorly equipped kitchen with minimum cookware and empty salt and pepper mills for instance..!! No toiletries whatsoever although the listing stated: "Free toiletries". Beds very hard but some like it that way... We have stayed in scores of baches over the years and feel this is definitely in the lower category."

"We had a lovely stay at the Oasis. We had amazing views from our clean 2 bedroom unit. The front of house staff are really friendly and hospitable. We also appreciated the clean hot pool attached to this motel. An added bonus is that you get access to the next door hotels facilities as well- pools, restaurant, bar, grotto and sauna as well. We have been staying here since 1978 and have loved every visit. Would highly recommend to fellow travellers. "

"We traveled from Auckland to Taupo and stayed here for 5 days Amazing service from the staff very friendly and catered to our every needs, room was cleaned and restocked daily which was very nice also loved the electric blankets and jumping into a nice cozy warm bed after a nice warm shower from a very bizi day and sight seeing. Very quiet place to stay the washing machines and dryers were very handy we came home with no dirty clothes at all. Kids wanted to play tennis but it ended up raining and u have to booke the hot tub which was also very nice too. Highly recommend will definately be back there ti stay again."
