Home away from home

If you're ever looking for a home away from home, this is it. You have all the home comforts and all the privacy you need, yet have someone to look after your every need. Definitely a place to go back to.

Spacious, comfortable room and the best host ever

I spent one night here on a work trip and the only thing I'm sorry about is that it was just one night. I will definitely be back. The room came as a pleasant surprise. It is very spacious, with a basic kitchenette and a comfortable sitting area for watching TV. It is sparkling clean, with quality white cotton bed linen and a mosquito net. The location is perfect within easy walking distance to the 24 hour Engen shop and a few good restaurants and breakfast spots across the road. John is a wonderful host who responded to messages timeously, and understands hospitality. When I explained that I had a bakkie load of photography equipment with me, and no energy to schlepp it upstairs to my room, he generously offered the use of his personal garage. Thank you, John! Hospitality like this makes such a difference.

The accommodation was excellent in a lovely setting, breakfast and service excellent and the host very helpful. However the area is very quiet so not suitable for those wanting shopping, nightlife or a good choice of restaurants although the food in the ones we tried was excellent.
