Horrible miscommunication experience. I booked this trip in September, 2023. I had all the confirmation and itinerary. It was paid off. I arrived at the property on December, 25, Christmas Day. The property was closed and no one was there to help. There was a piece of paper and an emergency phone number hanging on the door. I called and the lady just said: “sorry m’mam I can’t find your reservation”. I texted the phone number with the receipt, the payment and the itinerary. No luck. No one even care to look into our paperwork. My husband and I were left outside for more than 3 hours trying to figure out what to do. Praise be to God, that after 3 hours on the phone, Expedia was able to book us in another hotel. Although I understand it may have been a miscommunication between Expedia and the property, the Sunset Stay did not even offer to help or to accommodate us. So , if this is your place of choice, make sure you confirm with the property. Otherwise you can end up stranded in a island.

Lets just say that the only thing i did not like was the room didn't have a view of the ocean. But every time i visit the city and come to rest at the sunset stay, i am always right at home. After a long day of work, a hot shower and the bed with memory foam are to die for! Thanks again for a wonderful stay.

It is being redone, everything in my room was new. My room had only one small window.AC worked well. Wifi was poor. Always lost the signal. Lame. Good thing i was just staying overnight. My room was nice and quiet and the bed was good.

Great location across from a beautiful beach. The office staff was more than helpful. My room was super nice. My only negitive would be. The shower, low water pressure and no shelf to put soap and shampoo. But i would still highly recommend this place.

Under construction

They are under construction which was not noted on reservation. This was non-refundable...now we know why. We checked in sat nite...Paving prep went on all day Sunday (very loud), construction on Monday and Tuesday started at 7am - hammering, loud noises upstairs, etc., wed and Thursday was paving days - loud, stinky, very unpleasant! Mon nite we had 2 friends visit us and they complained we were too loud - we were outside on porch talking. This place is small - every day was disrupted with construction, we couldn’t even make phone calls unless we walked across street to beach due to construction noise all day long. They should have noted “under construction”so we could have picked somewhere else. This was not worth the price!!
