“The room was great functional but stylish and comfy. Bed was lovely and the shower was awesome. Staff were brilliant nothing was too much trouble and the food was excellent. Will definitely go again ”

“Spent two nights as a couple with a small dog. Totally relaxing break on the banks of the River Trent. Stayed in one of the adjacent cottages (no 14). Excellent. Only niggles were that although the bathroom had been recently refurbished, the extractor fan was not working and there was nowhere to hang a towel. Bathroom had the best shower I have ever used. Talk about a whoosh! We ate both nights in the restaurant. It had a limited menu, but the food was good. Food and drinks reasonably priced....

“Great place for football lovers. Beautiful building, Spacious and clean. Staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. There is history, memorabilia and pictures of English football history and current achievements. The spa facilities are awesome and the staff too. No regrets and will definitely return. Just one negative was that our room had a shower but not a bath. I love to have a long hot bath when away but they tried to move us but the alternative rooms weren't suitable for us....

“Second visit and a very warm welcome once again, we stayed in the main building this time, plenty of stairs to room six, but a big room with a massive bed and nice views down the high street”

“Top stay here. Great room. Good shower and comfortable bed. Staff were brilliant all weekend across every shift. Everything was clean and tidy. Breakfast was spot on for us as was the bar after a long day out.”
