"Breakfast was included but rarely any choice. If something ran out, it wasn't topped up. Had a boiled egg once in 6 days! No air conditioning or fan in the room. It was a small room with no air circulation in 34° heat, it was terrible. The staff/owners couldn't speak English so I couldn't tell them the problems. I would definitely not go back here or recommend it to anyone. Worst stay in a long time."

"The main hotel building is pretty good, cozy, recently renovated, however the annex building is far from that - it has a vibe of 1980s apartment complex, also not the cleanest. Views are lovely, as well as the area around. The breakfast is pretty bad - choices are limited, quantity is such that everything runs out quickly and, generally, the restaurant is far from great, offering canteen-quality food at Michelin-starred prices."

"There is nobody at the reception desk in the evening. You are on your own. Church bells ring constantly at night and are noisy. No free parking. No AC. Old and simple. It cost 5X what it is worth. Avoid it!!!!"

"The location of Hotel Engel is excellent. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. We had a lot of help from a member of staff on arrival. However I was surprised at how unhelpful the member of staff on for breakfast was. A few people found the hot beverage system complicated and the staff member just watched people struggle while other guests were trying to help. I have never experienced anything quite like that before. "

"Schönes, sehr geräumiges Studio mit tollem Badezimmer und gutem Frühstück. Die nahe Straße ist leider etwas laut. Ansonsten sehr guter Aufenthalt bis auf den Check-in. Die Terminals zum eigenständigen Check-in haben nicht funktioniert. Da niemand vor Ort war, haben wir insgesamt fast eine Stunde gebraucht um einzuchecken und ich musste 5 bis 6 mal bei der Service Hotline anrufen, was durch Roaming leider auch teuer war."
