"Nice location close to the airport."

"This is an excellent hotel for any stay but particularly if you are passing through Cairo. We arrived mid afternoon and checked out early the next day for a flight. The location is super convenient as you can walk from the terminal. The staff are attentive and friendly. The pool is refreshing and the restaurant buffet for dinner and breakfast had a great selection. The rooms were clean and we had everything we needed. Would stay here again and highly recommend it. "

"Clean , view of the pyramids is super"

"At first from the other reviews I was expecting the worst. But honestly for a night or a transit, I think this is the best option in Cairo and I’ve been flying there for work for past 10 years (so I know it can be really great or utterly decrepit!). The rooms are clean, comfortable, have all you need. The staff is efficient and do their jobs. Housekeeping was a joy - MARWA WAS THE BEST AND WENT THE EXTRA MILE FOR EVERYTHING! The breakfast was very good with fresh tamiya (Egyptian fellafel) made on the spot, the shuttle to their is confusing and annoying - so only downside - take the free shuttle out the terminal that’s not of the hotel and tell them you’re stopping at the Novotel - it can be daunting for the untrained! Or just uber it there. Shuttle to airport was great - every 30 min. Highly recommend and I will definitely stay here for transit stays in Cairo! It’s really good value"

"An oasis of calm amidst the frenetic chaos of Cairo! Don't be fooled by the 1960s exterior of this wonderful hotel, the interior is bang up-to-date providing all the amenities one would expect from any modern upmarket 5 star hotel. We loved the classy, chic vibe of the public areas and the staff were all super helpful. Special mention must go to Abdelaal, Hamada an Mohamed in housekeeping that kept our room immaculate, with nothing being too much trouble. Thanks guys! See you again soon?!"

"STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE The elevator did not work We stayed for 4 nights and they don’t come to change the room. At the end, they will change you for anything. The blanket had. Stain before and they wanted to charge me the whole blaket, a towel and and pillow case .. we ended paying $30US extra for nothing. This is in downtown a lot of noise"

"Wouldn’t recommend"

"This hotel is the perfect base to explore the Pyramids at Giza and Saqqara. We used their personalised entrance service to go directly to the pyramids without the usual entrance way which was nice - it’s not a glamorous entrance mind, but it’s very convenient. We also added the additional tour guide option which made exploring the site much more efficient as well as learning a few extra nuggets of local knowledge and historical insight. The hotel itself is tucked away from the rest of Cairo in its own compound so was surprisingly quiet. The grounds themselves are well maintained with lovely lawns and water features for the birds. The food was good, though if you’re vegan the lunch menu was poor. That being said, the tomato sauce and pasta was actually the best I’ve had pretty much anywhere so that’s a plus! The Indian restaurant on site however had amazing vegan options and we ordered too much because the portion sizes were pretty big! The room itself was clean and tidy and had everything we’d need - but the internet connection is terrible. Better to rely on your own 5G connection."
