"We’ve stayed at Mackinaw Beach and Bay for probably 10 years as we travel to Mackinaw the first weekend of October. The room this year was clean, and had a few upgrades like a huge flat screen TV mounted on the wall in both sleeping areas. The beds are hard as a rock and the pillows are small… thank God they give you a lot of pillows on the bed! The one disappointment was that they seem to have done away with their continental breakfast. The rates go up but the amenities slowly fade. All and all it was a positive experience."

"Our whole experience was the best! The Staff was Awesome and the beach and lake was so great. The kids enjoyed it too! Especially the indoor water park and pool. We will be back to this hotel!"

"Great location to see many excellent Michigan tourist destinations. Impressive Lodge with many nice amenities. Breakfast was better than most , but did not seem to reach Stafford standards. (Kind of (Motel-ly). The outdoor fireplace was welcoming, good TV channel selections,coffee was very good,,nice staff. We will come back ! Douglas Lake Inn was a VERY good choice for dinner. PS: Everyone should see the Shrine. It's the tallest crucifix in the world and the grounds are beautiful."

"The host knew the area well and was very helpful. The location was perfect between a walking/rail trail and the view of the bridge, we stayed local for most of our trip. Breakfast in mackinaw city, a drive over the bridge & we used our complimentary casino cash. And then just settled in to our beach house resort. We are already planning on another fall visit next year ♡"
