Shinjuku Prince Hotel

"Love that they provide pajamas (long comfy button down long sleeved shirt dresses) - had I known I wouldn't have packed pjs. The locations is priceless if you're up for being in the heart of the busy night life of Shinjuku. It's conveniently located next to a train station and all the awesome restaurants and stores. It's close to known tourist spots and trending foodie spots. I also loved the view of the city that we had - Includes Godzilla! They didn't have an iron/steamer which was a huge disappointment since I needed that. The staff was helpful but staff by the restaurant aren't always greeting you but you would think they would since they're right by the main entrance. The room I booked with the two beds was really tight for tourists like myself that had a couple large luggages. My son is also over 6ft so he hit his head a lot in the shower/bathroom. I'm not sure if this is just typical of what to expect in Japan hotels."

"Highly recommend for the price, size of rooms & location! Great extras like wash sponges ( I often forget mine!) , face masks etc. Nice touch! Also as space is at a premium in Japan - love how they ensure bags fit under the bed.. brilliant! Will stay there again! A variety of herbal tea bags not just green tea would be great!"

"One double bed room was cramp, especially for two people with large overseas luggage. Cramp meaning you only get a built in half lamp on the desk, a regular sized bathroom sink that partially hung over the mini sized bathtub. And no closet! Just a small doorless nook by the hotel door that is the width of one carry on luggage. That said, room was clean, has mini fridge, and USB charging outlets along with a universal charging cable (lightning, USB-C, and micro USB) cable for your use. Extra self service pillows also available by the elevator. Laundry facilities along with self service cable lock luggage storage by the front desk. I will book the same single double bed room again now that I know what I'm getting into knowing that space is at a premium. Bonus: I booked a TWO double bed room at this same hotel at the same time and was able to directly compare the two rooms. The two double bed room was spacious and normal sized everything. Full sized desk, closet with two folding doors, coffee table, 2 lounge chairs, normal sized bathtub, etc. If you value space, it's worth the extra cost to book the larger room."

"The hotel is directly opposite the beautiful Shinjuku Chuo Park and while we were there, so were the Tokyo Lights, which made the park very magical at night. The hotel is 10 minutes walk from Tochomae Station and around 15 minutes walk from Shinjuku Station, a further 5 minutes into Shinjuku itself, so is very well located. There is a bakery and breakfast buffet at the hotel, also lunches dinners are served both downstairs and on the 2nd floor grill. We upgraded to a superior room, but could have done with something bigger for the 2 of us, but the hotel was fully booked. My son had a superior room to himself and it was ample size for him. The towels are changed daily, however, the tea and coffee weren’t replenished, but this wasn’t a problem, as there is a family mark, a minutes walk from the hotel and 2 cafes in the park, one which does the famous fluffy pancakes. The hotel was buzzing all day long, even the locals came to eat here. The food was very good."

"Excellent breakfast , property is somewhat aged but clean , staff is helpful , the only complaint are washers and dryers , 1 is available per floor on 4 floors but some are out of service"
