Black-browed albatross feeding her chick regurgitated seafood. The colony on New Island is perched atop a dramatic seaside cliff where the birds can take advantage of the wind to get airborne. We were there in January when the chicks were young and adorable. A few stray ones got snatched up by opportunistic caracaras, but that is just how the food chain works.
