"Lobby had trash that was left, smell as soon as you walk in, staff at desk was in back for attest 10 minutes before he came to check us in, dirt in hallways, room dingy, smelly, and hotel needs renovations. Air was not working properly and another guest must have been up all night slamming door. If it was not for the fact that it was midnight when we stopped and I’m not familiar with Houston, I would have definitely left. This hotel was not represented well online at all "

"It’s in a good area, plenty of shops, restaurants. Its an open hotel, the room doors step you out in to the parking lot. The first night of our arrival I had to move rooms. The people staying next to us were smoking heavily with a strong smell of mariguana. If you’re traveling with kids I do not recommend this hotel. We used the pool and it’s not in a good condition. One of our kids had a terrible rash after using the pool. "

"Air conditioning was broken in our king suite and the hotel was booked solid but they gave us a standard double queen and bumped the reservation from a guest who hadn’t checked in yet (poor folks). When we got to the room, one of the beds had already been slept in but we had no other options so we slept in the other one. If you like a nice hot shower, let that dream die here, the water doesn’t get very hot and there’s not enough water pressure to even make it to the shower head. There is a $100 a night price difference between the room we paid for and the one we had to stay in so I’m still trying to get that back. I forgot to mention that it was Spring Break. There was literally someone outside throwing up in the parking lot and a couple on the other side yelling at each other and pretty much everyone was half naked and it was only 7pm so kids were still coming through the lobby which is crappy. I’m just surprised, I definitely wouldn’t expect this from a hotel like Hyatt Regency. "
