This place is great! On a lovely, quiet street with plenty of trees, close walking to a supermarket, awesome breakfast, clean rooms, nice staff, reasonably priced, fast internet...I only stay here! Also great for conferences, workshops, etc, and close to restaurants nearby. They also have a great pool! (Which is super pretty even though I never use it).
The hotel is centrally located in downtown Niamey, although not near shopping. The staff at the hotel are friendly and very accommodating to all kinds of requests. The rooms are adequate in size, quiet, and fairly clean. Breakfast can be purchased, it tasted good, but the variety was rather limited. Free Wi-FI was available, but tended to work best at night.
Hotel was convenient, quiet. Restaurant had a reasonable selection of meals and the food was good quality. Breakfast a bit limited but satisfactory. Rooms are dated but the water was hot and the air conditioning worked well. Pool looks like they have given up trying to maintain it. That said, it is probably the best hotel in Niamey at the moment.
There are three things I need to work in every hotel. The first is the A/C. It kinda worked in this hotel. Thank goodness for the ceiling fan or it would have been a bust. The second is the internet. In this case it worked more or less. The third is the shower with hot water. The water pressure was so low I had to use the plastic cup that was by the toilet to fill and then rinse. I know that cup has other purposes and that is just a little disgusting to think about. Other the plus side, the food was ok and the counter staff did help organize a taxi for me. I would not stay here again unless I had to, certainly not for the money it cost.
