“This is our third time at the property. The view is unbeatable. Howler monkeys come by close. Comfortable apartments. Friendly staff. The only reason for 4 starts vs 5 is that the apartments are a bit tired and outdated. ”

“Was a bit disappointed with our stay here. I’d read that the rooms were a bit dated, but it was rundown in aspects as well. The window in our bathroom had a broken hinge, the towels were old and tattered, the faucet discoloured, but the worst part was the bugs in the room. There was an ant (?) infestation - they’d burrowed a few holes into the bathroom doorframe and they were coming in and out of them and we found them in various places around the room. “This was our second year coming to the Rip Jack villas and it was an excellent stay. Hotel staff was very kind and courteous. Rooms were clean and kept clean daily. The food in the hotel was delicious; we’re still debating who among us had the best meals. This year we traveled with a larger group and everyone had a great time. The locals said that these creatures are present in the ocean from November till April. The pool at the hotel is relatively small: only 5-6 people would fit comfortably in it. ”
