Shame about the staff training

"Amazing hotel, very badly let down by the staff. There is absolutely no attention to detail. They are all lovely but they tell you as little as possible unless you ask. No offer of ski lockers, ski passes, spa info etc. Dining room has amazing views but again no attention to detail. Eg.. ordered a dessert for sharing & it arrived with no plates, no cutlery. You have to ask for absolutely everything which I wouldn’t mind if I was in a low budget accommodation which this is not. I would stay again purely for the ski in ski out access and views. "

"Absolutely Wonderful ❤️ A magical experience with down to earth hosts that understand the true nature of what hospitality means, and presents exceptional experiences for guests. We really needed the break from a long trip to a pure relaxed state within driving up the driveway surrounded by nature. We enjoyed every moment from the hot tub experience to a wonderful hist Marco who takes you not only on a culinary journey but also a personal journey of how he became the first boutique hotel in Norway. An experience to remember and take away knowing you have been well looked after. The food journey was incredible with a personal touch of pure passion for what he does, giving a true experience. "Where to start. The door to our room couldn’t be opened so we sought assistance. It turned out the door was jammed due to not fitting the surround. The lock was nearly impossible to open/ close. The chairs were unbearable. The shower was lukewarm while basin water was very hot. No blackout curtains. No fridge. And it was expensive!!"

Don't book the horseback riding.

"Dinner was great and people that worked in the restaurant were very helpful. Check in was fast and easy. The slide at the pool left me with painful bruises. We had booked horseback riding through the providerer recommended by the hotel. We received no confirmation email and no instructions of where to go. We went to the provider's stables which were 45 minutes away. Then, we find out we were supposed to go to the hotel and the riding will have to go on without us. Then we got a call telling us to go back to the stables. Then we get a text telling us to go to the hotel. We turned around several times. The hotel says the privider will have to reimburse us and the provider won't respond. "
