"Main positive is the location and the view - well worth paying for the lake view. Rooms are large and ok. Overall hotel a bit scruffy - paint scuffed, carpets with holes in, corridors not very clean. Restaurant very hit and miss, some dishes really good but others just ok and service is so slow that food tends to arrive cold. Breakfast is pretty ordinary for that class of hotel. "The hotel was very central and convenient- just right across the street as we got off the ferry from Lausanne. The room had beautiful views of the lake, and a nice big king size bed- without a split mattress, which can be hard to find in Europe. The room was very clean and comfortable- and the hotel was reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone traveling to Evian."
