“This totally renovated hotel is a revived classic with modern improvents. The bed was extremely comfortable. The room invited light from the outside to make it shine. Sitting area, polished chrome fittings, comfortable chair and reading areas, one by a window. Outstanding room. Staff was mostly absent and electronic lock was glichty, otherwise a restful stay.”

“This is a recently renovated Gold Rush era hotel, very quaint and authentic. The rooms and bathrooms have been updated to modern standards which is nice, but have authentic period decor/antiques. The town is VERY small and cute, extremely quiet (in general) and a walkable historic self-guided tour. It makes a great base of operations for exploring the area. A couple of things to know: it is 3 story, but because of the age, there is no elevator (typical with Gold Rush era hotels). They have one...

“I really wish I could have stayed here more than one night. The staff was so friendly. The hotel includes a restaurant, sauna, and lounge areas with gas fire pits. Right behind it is a golf course and the best part is the view of Lake Tahoe in front of the hotel. Rooms were nice and clean. Most beautiful city I have ever been. I loved every second.”

“Absolutely charming little inn tucked inside the Eldorado National Forest only a bit more than half hour past Lake Tahoe outside Carson City. You can’t imagine any setting much better! The room: pristine clean; modern, renovated, sheets soft as butter and a memory foam mattress you will think you are a baby in a cradle! Fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Pretty new hardwood like flooring - no gross carpet. Heat lamp and plenty of hot water for shower. Only negative for us - no restaurant so...

“The staff were so nice and helpful, check in was fast and easy. They kept our mountain bikes locked up and safe for us. Our room was clean and the view was awesome. The bike ride to the gondola was only seconds away. The snack bar has goodies for breakfast that were pretty good. We stay here every year and will definitely come be back again. ”
