“Double room was extremely small, difficult for two people to stand in the bathroom at the same time. Only one of the windows opened and when it was open there was a strong smell of Indian food being cooked which sullied all our clothing. It was shabby to say the least.”

We were on the ground floor and arrived to a strong smell of cigarettes - the throw blanket had a burn hole in it, suggesting a previous guest had smoked despite the advertised £100 fine. There was pink staining on the shower floor and the only chair had a broken spindle on the back - when I went to move it, the top rail separated entirely from the remaining spindles and I had to pop it back...
