“Not a lot of places close but restaurants within a 10-15 minute drive. The town of Bunkie itself had quite a few restaurants. Pool has no water so kids kinda bummed. Breakfast was minimal. Waffles fruit cereal. Room was decent and clean. Staff was friendly. ”

“I stayed here at least 10 times, while working nearby. Twice I’ve had to stay in different places due to no available vacancy, and both times I was reminded how much I truly appreciated the hospitality, warm welcome, privacy and convenience of staying at Loyd Hall. During my 3 months of regular stays here, it began to feel like a home away from home. Priced fairly for the many amenities and accommodating hosts. I’ve made special requests a couple times and was met with prompt response...

“The room was not clean, floors were dirty, the bed felt uncomfortable and unclean, and there were cobwebs and spiders present. The shower dripped all night, and the toilet continued running, which was very disruptive. The walls were dirty, and there was visible light coming in around the door. Additionally, the amenities were insufficient. There was only one small bar of soap to use between the shower and sink and a single packet of conditioning shampoo, you couldn’t even shampoo a baby’s head...

“Parking was not a problem. It was very easy. The AC kept the room very nice. The refrigerator and microwave, awesome.”

“The room was inexpense, so i didn't expect a lot. However, this place is desperate need of repair. Baseboard trim is peeling off, there was a pretty major water leak coming from the shower/tub above us. Fortunately it was dripping on the shower unit and not the walls directly. The walls need to be fixed and properly sealed, as you can feel the humidity in the room unless you keep it ice cold. ”

“The toilet in my room ran all night. We had to remove the top to make it flush. The security lock on the door was broken and coming off the door.”
