We were there in late September and had easy access to beaches. From the signage it appears more restrictive during the peak season.

As we were walking on the boardwalk towards to lighthouse of Fire Island , the most attractive views were different kind of natural bushes along both sides of the boardwalk. It was so hot at midday, and sunlight was bright .everything was gorgeous. I couldn't help take pictures of it.
