Epacha could be used as an African Lodge in a movie set. Our accommodation was spacious and comfortable. The reception/dining area was enormous with plenty of elegant touches. The staff were as helpful and attentive as they could be. I highly recommend it. Visitors should be aware, though, that Epacha is some distance from Etosha - around 50 kilometres from the Anderson Gate.

Spectacular views from the luxuriously appointed individual units and pool/restaurant area, lovely service and great sundowner drive in the game park. The outdoor showers in the units were a real indulgence! The only off note was the lack of easy drinking water, since the tap water wasn’t recommended and only 2 small individual bottles were supplied.

Great hotel close to Etocha: - luxury feeling - excellent breakfast and dinner - excursions can be arranged - very Kind Management and staff - better Internet Connection to be installed in 2020

Heavily overpriced

we were almost the only guests, which obviously had the effect that the food was deplorable. We ordered from a set menu beef fillet and got something else instead (probably backstrip or something from the leg.) the rest was also partly sub standard. all in all. nothing to recommend.

DO NOT STAY HERE---POOR MANAGEMENT. FRAUDULENT!!

Four of us arrived after a long day of driving of safari, only to be told by the front desk that they do not have our reservations-----reservations that were made more than SIX months prior!! I noted that they had two large tour groups of elderly people staying there-----it appears our rooms were "cancelled" to accomodate the large groups. In an attempt to appease us, since the next closest lodge is over 30 minutes away, they moved an employee out of one room and put us in a room where the air conditioning was not working. The temperature in the area that day was 95 degrees. I had booked two rooms with a private balcony......I certainly did NOT receive that! The manager was involved, but it was very clear that they only concerned themselves with the large groups. The interesting thing is, I'm guessing the group paid a much lower room rate than we did. I travel extensively around the world......this was one of my WORST experiences to date, and I cannot rate this property any LOWER! They were fraudulent and a huge disappointment. I will be fighting for a refund on my reservation!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PROPERTY.
