The room & facilities were fine. The check in was fully automated and thus easy to use.
I would have appreciated a greeting from the staff in the reception. It’s first time in Japan that I have never been greeted at the reception of a hotel. Very un Japanese!
I stayed in the 11th floor and had free access to the rooftop pool and free drinks. It does not get much better than that. Perfect way to end my trip to Okinawa.
The hotel was very well-maintained and professional, especially at the price point. Above all, the staff were incredibly kind and went above and beyond to help me even before my stay began. I desperately needed to receive a piece of mail and they allowed me to have it sent to them, and they coordinated with me to have it ready for when I picked it up under a really tight time crunch. They didn't have to do that but it meant the world to me. Would absolutely come back if I'm ever in Naha!
A bit stressful and cold check-in experience, at a day when the absolute opposite was needed. Communication skills for staff, was not satisfactory. Hotel is also located at a bit of a bad area. Room and spa was nice.
We particularly enjoyed the onsen at the hotel and extensive breakfast buffet. The rooftop bar and pool were also an added amenity.

Generally ok, but there is an odd odour outside my room. One of the glass cups is broken and it hurt my hand. Room is fairly clean but can be better. There’s a beach close by.
This is the second time I come to this hotel and the room is fantastic. Spacious, well designed and I love the private bath on a tiny balcony, easy to access from the bathroom.
Great Japanese style breakfast buffet with some western options. Love the balcony soaking tub! The onsen was lovely, be prepared to not be allowed if you have tattoos that cannot be covered.
Great property. The rooftop pool and bar are awesome, including all you can drink (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). The train station is about a 10 minute walk.
This was such an amazing experience especially for a single traveller who really wanted rest however the beddings weren’t clean and had blood stains on it. Apart from that everything else, the pool, room and area was amazing
The room with private bath is exceptional. You can take a hot bath outside, the room is spacious and well designed. Only negative thing to say is that the futon is not comfortable, it's missing a layer. I'm still giving a 5 star rating because I enjoyed my stay and will definitely come back

We booked this hotel as a quick one night stay before taking the ferry north. The hotel itself had lovely amenities like the onsen. It was clean, peaceful and relaxing.
There was one pool we could use, but the rooftop pool cost $45 for each adult and $20 for each kid. So for a family of 4 quite expensive (and not advertised as an extra fee during the booking process). Our room was also quite small.
The area around the hotel was shady for a family. We zipped out to eat dinner but my husband walked to the family mart a few blocks away and said it definitely had red light district vibes).
The staff was lovely and helpful.
The photos only partially reflect reality.
The rooftop pool is accurate, the ground floor pool is fine, and the room matches the pictures. The distance to the beach is also as described.
However, the beach itself is a major letdown. You can only access it within a restricted, fenced-off area — if you go beyond it, you’re warned off. The beach is located under two road bridges, which makes the whole setting feel more like an industrial zone than a relaxing seaside. It looks nothing like the images suggest.
Also, it should definitely be mentioned that the hotel is located right next to a red-light district. That’s a crucial detail and should not be hidden from potential guests.
The property was very nice and clean. There were a lot of amenities and a little shop inside. I was very let down by the roof top pool. It was closed to guests unless you were on the 11-14 floor you had to pay 3,000 yen. This should be on the website as I was looking forward to the sky pool and chose this hotel for that reason. The hotel was a bit removed from bus stops and the mono rail and to walk to those stops you had to go through a neighborhood with a ton of brothel type places. Aside from that it was a nice stay.

Very small room, no chair. I would not advise getting the lowest priced room for more than one night. Breakfast was very good though. Beware, you have to pay $3000 yen per adult to access the pool on top which is nice and has beautiful views. You get all you can drink but its limited to beer, softdrinks, and some insipid lime sour drink. Theres also a bar restaurant on top but they only serve appetizers. The hotel is in the red light district with a number or massage places nearby but nothing going on in the street. Theres also some very good restaurants nearby and the public beach and shrine about 6 blocks away are both worth a visit.
Hotel Sansui was decent but very expensive compared to other locations in Naha. The room was nice and the staff were very helpful. The area is in the middle of Naha's red light district and we had no idea when booking. So if you have a family, you may have some different or uncomfortable conversations as the shops on the same block are all "soap" rooms and adult centric.
The public amenities like the pool and spa are not tattoo friendly, also didn't know that when booking. Also if your not on the top floors, you pay a daily fee to use the amenities.
Overall our stay was okay but next time we will be staying in downtown Naha as the area is really bad for how expensive this hotel is and not equivalent to hotels that were 1/2 the price in downtown Naha.
Lesson learned. So I'm giving the Hotel Sansui a rating of 3/5.
Clean, okay location (lots of brothels in the area), and generally nice staff
There two pools, one on the second floor and a rooftop one. The rooftop one costs extra unless you’re staying on the top 3 floors, which wasn’t clear when we booked.
They also have the rule of no tattooed, which is very racist towards the local ryukyu population which traditionally have indigenous tattooes. I didn’t mind covering up, but I mind the racism
We bought rooftop access one night where there is a bar, a pool and a poolbar. The poolbar included free drinks, but the bar didn’t except for a premium class of guests. Long story short, the bartender gave us the wrong menu which listed some items as zero yen, and then afterwards required us to pay. He didn’t know any English and was super aggressive
He had to bring up a colleague who knew English and it took so long before they apologized and actually understood what happened
Other than that the rooms where great
