Toilet too low to floor and grab bars too high. Why can't hotels have chair hight toilets? Bed very hard. Charge you a $60 key deposit.

MRSA is ok, to save money

It was dirty, nasty. There were holes drilled in the door to the room, everything was broken including the shower and phone. It was FILTHY! Extremely filthy! The "food" they served was dirty with bugs in it and the vending machine for the drinks was covered in mold. It has never been cleaned.

We enjoyed staying, it was nice and roomy, and we slept well and stayed an extra day. Only issue was crickets and a spider, but seeing so many dead ones outside it seems they are working to control them. Would be nice if there was a little more variety for breakfast.

Nothing good about it

This place was dirty, dingy, full of bugs and refused to refund us when we checked out after one night of a prepaid stay. They were also unable to provide us with the ground floor room we requested. This is the worst place I have stayed in decades.

There were a lot of problems. There was a slimy spot on the carpet. The walls were too thin and there was a lot of noise next door. The TV didn't work. The internet server didn't work. My son's room had the sink not hooked up to the drain. The coffee machine was less than adequate. Almost no breakfast in the cafe.

The walls were very thin, so we heard every tv show and alarm in the rooms beside us. The A/C would cycle off an on every 5 minutes or so waking you up. The shower leaked at the handle. The hair dryer did not work. There were only 2 packs of items for coffee, so they were used up on day one. House keeping no longer cleans rooms daily, yet the rates did not go down for this being taken away. But, the staff was nice and the towels were very soft.

Not worth it

We were charged a $60 deposit and was told it was refundable. The guy at the front desk didn't want me reading the paper he handed me, so I wrote on it refundable deposit. He did not like that. There was no damage to the room and they still haven't refunded it. It was 104° that day and my air conditioner went out, that's why we booked there. The room's air conditioner wasn't on and the room was excessively hot, it took hours to cool it down. The hotel is in a convenient location but I wouldn't stay there again. Not with the attitude of the front desk and how we were treated.

There are better options

The front desk person was friendly and accommodating and went above and beyond to find a solution to our concerns. That said, this place has seen better days. It sure doesn't look like the photos online and the folks hanging around seemed like they had also seen better days. We are generally not fussy about the motel vibe, but this location was not somewhere we could see ourselves staying for the five nights we booked and we ended up cancelling our stay. Sorry for the bad review, Travelodge Norman, but it's probably time for a little refresh.
