We arrived early in the morning and the reception we received could not have been more welcoming. As we were so early our room wasn't ready but we were offered breakfast and full use of the facilities at no extra cost. Every effort was made to have our room ready hours earlier than expected and the room was beautiful. The breakfast was exceptional - so much choice and the food and staff were amazing. The location was perfect - overlooking the sea - and the beach area and sunbeds were lovely. Overall, the hotel could not have done more to accommodate us and I would definitely stay here again and the staff (especially Hrvoje and Maja) were amazing!

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in der Villa Amalia! Das Hotel ist superzentral gelegen. Der Pool, der private Betonstrand und der Frühstücksbereich befinden sich im Haupthotel nebenan (Hotel Kvarner). Das Frühstück war wirklich hervorragend und unser Zimmer (Superior Doppelzimmer) war sehr großzügig und sah aus wie eine kleine Suite! Das Einzige, das uns nicht so gut gefallen hat, waren die wilden und gierigen Tauben, die einem das Frühstück auf der Terrasse richtig vermiesen können. Hoffentlich kann das Hotel bald etwas gegen diese unternehmen.

Super tolle Suite, mit separaten Schlafzimmer. Total ruhiges Zimmer ( vom Hotel aus gesehen ), denn ab Abends hört man schon sehr den Bass vom Strandclub gegenüber ( Minimum bis 01:00 Uhr ) Parkplatzsituation eines 4–Sterne Hotels unwürdig, da man erst bei Anreise, darauf hingewiesen wird, dass es nur vereinzelt Parkplätze am Hotel gibt und man doch auf einen öffentlichen Parkplatz parken muss, der zudem auch noch mit ca. 21 EUR p.T. zu Buche schlägt! Dieses Hotel haben wir über Expedia gebucht und uns wurde auf dem dazu gehörigen Foto von Expedia suggeriert, dass wir eine Suite mit Balkon und Meerblick haben! Leider hat auch hier der Balkon gefehlt und lt. Aussage des Hotels, war bei unserer Bestätigung von Expedia ein falsches Foto mit übermittelt worden. So etwas darf nicht passieren!!! Wir sind sehr enttäuscht von Expedia und überlegen, ob wir darüber noch einmal buchen!

Pessima accoglienza, buon hotel

Buon hotel, bella posizione, bella camera con ampio bagno (anche se con vasca), purtroppo senza balcone come invece risultava dalla foto sul sito. Pessima l'accoglienza: arrivati dopo un lungo viaggio nessuno ci aiuta con i bagagli, veniamo inviati a cercarci un posteggio altrove e nonostante l'hotel fosse mezzo vuoto non ci viene data la camera (di fatto non hanno chiesto né nome, né hotel di prenotazione - essendo la reception comune ad altro hotel - ma hanno chiarito che prima delle 14 non sarebbe stato possibile fare il check in, per policy, evidentemente). Alla fine risulta che c'era un altro posteggio dell'hotel poco distante. In generale l'hotel è buono, con ottima vista sul mare. Purtroppo è stata pessima l'accoglienza e ci ha rovinato un pò la prima giornata di vacanza. Il ristorante non offre praticamente nulla per chi è vegano o vegetariano. La colazione è abbastanza buona.

Sehr stilvolles, schönes Hotel mit Privatstrand

Checkin/checkout: sehr freundlicher Empfang; konnten die Anlage/Pool/Strand auch schon davor und auch danach noch einige Stunden benutzen; Auto wurde geparkt bzw. geholt und stand dann vor dem Hotel. Zimmer in Villa Amali (gehört zum Hotel Kvarner dazu) war sehr schön, groß (gratis Upgrade auf Junior-Suite). Privatstrand ist gratis, nach wenigen Metern erreichbar und mit Liegen, Schirmen und Service (Bademeister, Kellner). Das Frühstück bietet alles: warm, kalt, Süssspeisen, frische Fruchtsäfte, Sekt, ... besonders schön auf der Terasse mit Blick aufs Meer. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl und verbrachten die Zeit sehr gerne innerhalb der Anlage - das Ambiente ist einfach sehr schön und harmonisch. Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis in Top-Lage, günstigster Preis über expedia.

Die Villa Amalia gehört zur Hotel Kvarner. Das Hotel befindet sich in eine ausgezeichnete Lage, ist eine Wundrschöhne neuzeit Villa, zentrall und bequem alles zur erreichen. Das Früstück ist Super ! Reichhaltig und fein , das Personal sehr nett. Das Hotel hat eigenen Strand mit leigen , sonnenschirmen und Tücher, Das Zimmer ist schöhn und gut isoliert, die Betten super bequem ( bin immer sehr sensibel) mann kann sogar sich die Kissen aussuchen. Ich kann das Hotel mit ruhigen Gewissen weiter emfehlen!

Lovely hotel with great size rooms. Only downside was a open air concert at venue next door playing very loud music until gone 2am. Not hotels fault but hopefully this will change as crazy to approve this!

Great location

We like very much the location of the hotel. The staff in the reception was very nice and helpful, also the people working at the spa area were very kind and the service was good. When we had to leave I was asking reception to bring our car with almost 2 hour in advance just to make sure they have time to organizer themselves properly but unfortunately we was delayed with more than 1 hour to our depart, - that was very stressful for the whole family as long we had some other appointment that day.

Veldig fornøyd med opphold og komfort på rommet. God størrelse på bad og seng. Savnet stol og bord, var kun sofa med kaffebord. Ingen wifi på Amalia-bygget, måtte gå til Hotel Kvarner for dette.

Schöne Villa... aber

Das Zimmer war schön, sehr sauber jedoch leider etwas dunkel. Die Fenster sind aus der Steinzeit, könnte man erneuern. Die Lage ist sehr schön, wäre da nicht der Lärm vom Nachbargebäude, bis 04:00Uhr morgens extrem laute Musik. Am Morgen ging ich an die Rezeption und habe mich beschwert. Leider wurde ich dort nicht gerade Ernst genommen. Sie haben mich vertröstet es wird nicht mehr so laut werden, es sei nur am Wochenende so... Das Stimmt tatsächlich, unter der Woche ist es ganz ruhig nur am Freitag und Samstag kann man kaum ein Auge zu machen. Wir hatten das Frühstück inklusive, welches leider katastrophal war. Das Brot war alt und hart, die Butte und Salami hatten die beste Zeit bereits hinter sich. Das Personal interessierte sich überhaupt nicht für die Gäste, man musste sich einen freien Tisch selbst suchen, wenn man Glück hatte, waren dort bereits Besteck und Glas... Den Parkplatz muss man zusätzlich auch noch bezahlen. 10€ pro Tag. Ich persönlich würde das Hotel niemandem weiterempfehlen.

Respsjons personell og stor sjefen rangert gjestene etter kleskoder og hvor rik gjestene er ..... Vi fikk dårlig velkommen som gjester og dårlig informasjon og oversikt over område av Opatija. vi reagerer på en 4 stjerne hotel med veldig dårlig standart på heis som er ifra 20 årene. Denne heisen fungerte ikke etter kl 2100 på kvelden . Vi var 3 personer i familien som bodde sammen og vi fikk kun 2 store håndkler tiltross for at vi etterlyste dette hver dag. Vi var misfornøyd med oppholdet på hotelet.
