“Hôtel à éviter, attente de 10mn devant le portail fermé sans sonnette à l'arrivée, accueil quasi clandestin par une gardienne femme de ménage ne parlant que l'espagnol et pas prévenue de notre arrivée alors que j'avais réservé depuis des semaines, essayant de me passer au téléphone la patronne me raccrochant au nez à plusieurs reprises, pas d'enregistrement d'arrivée, aucun autre personnel, aucune prestation autre qu'un médiocre petit déjeuner, aucune boisson disponible, bar et piscine fermées,...

“Absolutely beautiful. We stayed in the bungalow. Balcony view breath taking. Seafood rice in their restaurant was fantastic as was the free breakfast the next morning. We did the zip line the next day. Not for the faint of heart but well worth it.”

“Cabaña rústica en un lindo lugar al que hay que llegar con 4x4 por el último tramo hasta la casa. El propietario (Álvaro) fue muy amable. A la casa le hace falta algo de acondicionamiento: no dispone de agua caliente (puede hacer frío) y eché de menos que estuviera algo más acondicionada (limpieza y algún detalle adicional). El entorno muy tranquilo y bonito.”

“Excelente lugar para disfrutar de la naturaleza. Sus propietarios son muy amables, en especial Tim, quien nos recibió personalmente junto a su perro Coco. Las habitaciones son cabañas acogedoras, con vistas increíbles a las montañas y al volcán Turrialba desde algunos puntos. La comida muy rica, fresca, bien preparada con amor. Recomiendo el lugar para personas que deseen descansar rodeadas de la verde montaña.”

“I hate to give any negative review because they people there are great people. Very nice staff and beautiful grounds with lots of vegetation. The room though is pretty basic and tried to have a fireplace but the smoke kept blowing into the room and then all our stuff smelled like smoke. No other source of heat. Could be a wonderful place but needs improvement on the rooms. But again still enjoyed our stay.”

“This property consists of 3 relatively new cabins located inside a secure gate beside to the main road that circles the beautiful Orosí valley. The cabins are surrounded by greenery including a giant stand of bamboo and orange trees from the family’s orchard, which smell delightful! The road is quite busy during the day but very quiet at night and we had no difficulty sleeping. The cabins themselves block most of the outside sound. There was plentiful hot water for the shower from the rooftop...

“Trogon was one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. The property and the location was priceless. The staff was fantastic and always willing to help. The cabins were clean and cozy and with the weather it will probably the best sleep you will ever have. The Food is very good plus there are a few other very good options within a couple of KM's.
