Just an hour or so outside of Barcelona is the small village of Rupit, with castles and medieval stone houses dating back to 968 AD. A small hike from the village will bring you to sweeping views of this valley and a nearby waterfall Salto de Sallent. Very impressive place
Viewpoint in mountains where you can see the dam Santa Pau. Before the dam was built, there had been villages in the valley - the buildings still remained under the water!
