"The staff at reception were friendly and helpful. Check in was quick and easy. We had a 3rd floor room which overlooked the canal. It was very nice, with comfy beds and some original, industrial features. The only negative was the bathroom. It had a bath, which we never use, and a shower over it. The water pressure was poor, the shower kept running cold. The bathroom definitely needed an upgrade, a walk in shower would have really made a difference. The spa area was nice, the pool was a good temperature. We had a drink in the bar area which was pleasant to sit in and the menu looked varied, although we didn’t eat there. The hotel was close to the city centre which was within walking distance. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely book again. We did ask on leaving if they had rooms with walk in showers which they did so we would make sure we booked one of those. "

"Great stay with Oddfellows, stayed in the apartment which is 5min down the road and turn left pass the Crosskey pub on the corner right to the end where there is a place with ‘Oddfellows’ on it, it came with parking aswell in the courtyard which was great! Very central but quiet enough at night by the apartment which was ideal, would definitely stay again. "

"This pub accommodation is the best ive ever stayed in chester, we stayed in the penthouse ,consisting of 2 large bedrooms and a stunning bathroom, it truly was amazing, would definitely go back and would recommend to anyone else, wondering where to stay, also the brealfast was huge also hot and delicious "

"Great location but the hotel and rooms are tired parking is a nightmare as people using the leisure club take up all the guest parking so had to park next door. Rooms are large but tired. "

"Great location! Train station opposite and bus stops outside for quick trips to city or Cheshire Oaks/ Chester Zoo/ Blue Planet Aquarium. Hotel a little dated but comfortable and clean."

"Great stay. Hotel looks run down outside but the inside is great and looks to have been done up. Staff lovely and friendly, food great and everything you need in the room. "

"It is a wonderful historic building, but very run down . Some parts, eg the listed ballroom is closed needing roof repairs. Threadbare carpets, although bedding and towels changed each day there was poor bathroom supplies. I believe it is for sale. So fingers crossed because it’s in a good position with a car park. No resturant, or bar snacks. There is an excellent Spanish tapas restaurant round the corner.m and Peaberry a few yards down the street great for breakfast. "
