"Hotel Granvia is the perfect location: the JR and local trains are all downstairs. We’ve stayed here 2 years ago and loved it! The staff, bell hops and housekeping are so courteous and helpful. The hotel is inside the Kyoto station which hosts, restaurants and lots of stores for shopping. Hotel Granvia also has a beautifully lit Cinderella type carriage (at night) and a Kyoto sign - a photo opportunity! The only downfall this year was we were on the 9th floor and facing the train station (JR train side). Each morning around 3am we can hear the trains passing by… Other than that, we will stay at this hotel again facing Kyoto Tower next time we come to Kyoto."
