A wonderful litthe gem near Oudtshoorn

A beautiful guesthouse, outstanding food, excellent service from the host and staff. Lollies went out of his way to make our stay as pleasant as possible - nothing was too much to ask. Thank you!

Schöne Unterkunft - falsche Standortangabe!

Wir sind erst spät angereist, was kein Problem war, da die Besitzer mit auf dem Anwesen wohnen. Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und haben direkt auch was zu essen bekommen. Das Abendessen war sehr lecker. Es gab ein Einheitsmenü für alle Gäste. Preis ok. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön eingerichtet und man fühlt sich sehr heimelig. Die Herren würden sagen, es ist etwas verkitscht und überladen. Fön war keiner vorhanden. Außenanlage sehr gepflegt und schön. Optimale Lage des Hotels wenn man eine der Straußenfarms besichtigen möchte. Die Unterkunft liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe der Straußenfarm "highgate". Also gut ~8 km außerhalb der Stadt Oudtsthorn. Standortangabe bei Expedia ist somit falsch. Dort wird es in unmittelbarer stadtnähe angezeigt.

short stay in the Oudshoorn area

Hotel is some 15km outside Oudshoorn, so make sure you have directions! Room was clean and very comfortable. Lorries ( the owner ) offered diner to save driving around. We gladly accepted and his wife cooked a wonderful three course meal for us and Lorries opened his treasure chest of wine for us. The only catch was our Agenda did not allow for staying another day ;-) Since we have been driving on a lot on gravel road before we came, the gardeners decided not let us go that way and washed the car :-)
