"The hotel was okay overall. The lobby looked fancy, and the live singer at the restaurant was a great touch that added to the old Hollywood feel. Unfortunately, my stay wasn’t the greatest. My main issue was the airflow in our room. It felt stuffy when we checked in, so I turned on the AC wall unit, but it mostly just made noise and didn’t cool the room much. The ventilation in the bathroom was also poor. Steam from the shower would spread into the room and make everything feel muggy, which created the perfect environment for mosquitoes—we ended up getting bitten several times throughout our stay. The pool also didn’t appear very clean. There were quite a few dead flies and mosquitoes floating on the surface, which made me wonder if the filters were working properly. I really wanted to love this place, especially after learning that Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz were among its founders. Unfortunately, the conditions in our room made the experience disappointing. The employees were very helpful, welcoming and overall friendly. "

"Room was available by 3 PM as scheduled. Room was ok as far as cleanliness except for the floors. Did not use the pool. The tv was hard to change channels with the remote unless you were close to the receptor. Easy walk to a restaurant and fast food options."

"Loved the hotel overall. Love the larger rooms, it was very clean. We did not have a chance to check out the breakfast since we were gone before it opened. LOVE that they are not pet-friendly! You could tell, the rooms smelled nice! There is a stench in most places that allow pets. It is close to Wholefoods and Total Wine:) The hotel might want to give the young man who checked us in a little lesson in customer service. I hate to leave bad feedback, but he was so condescending and ornery, it was surprising that anyone would hire him for this job. He must be the manager's son or something. A few more gripes: One of the side doors would not open with the key card for all the days we were there (one more reason we had to interact with this guy at the front desk; it was not pleasant, and he obviously did not let anyone in maintenance know about the issue either.) The light bulb in the closet was burned out. Not the end of the world, but the cleaning staff should have noticed that too. Once we have our personal stuff in the room, we hate having workers in there, so we did not say anything until we checked out. Rooms facing 111 get a lot of traffic noise, even with the fan on high, you hear it. But overall, it was a great stay and we would book a room there again."

"The lobby and dining room are modern and bright, but the halls are dark and dingy with old stained, wrinkled carpeting that invites trip and fall accidents. The kitchen offers good hot breakfasts, take out dinners and bar service. Kitchen staff is cordial, front desk is not. Rooms are big and comfortable, wifi is free and shops and restaurants are nearby, many walkable."

"This was a getaway for the holidays with my husband and in-laws. The hotel was well kept and good staff. Room was spacious and clean. Great bed! All in walking distance to shops, restaurants, local coffee and galleries. I would go back to the fun spot in the desert. "
