Nice place, very friendly staff. I think it used to be a big wedding venue, but has moved away from that business so there is a Marie Celeste feel to parts of the large building and grounds that are no longer in use. Has a relaxed Italian feel. Excellent value and a bit off the beaten track.

This hotel is a lovely, quirky place to spend a couple of nights at the start or end of your Puglia trip. It’s brilliant to get to the airport or Matera. The staff are amazing, so helpful- would definitely come back!

What an unexpected pleasure! The resort was far grander than the pictures online suggested. With only nine rooms, we must have had the best, with a large private patio and hot tub. The staff was very attentive, the dinners were served outside and were delicious. Breakfast was over the top with way too many delights to choose from. Highly recommend and will stay again when we return to Puglia.

What a fantastic little resort. We were attending my son’s wedding near Bari and we found this resort and it exceeded our wildest dreams. We just wanted a few days after the wedding to relax and chill. The resort is only 9 rooms but that was ideal, as has masses of space and there were a range of activities on offer if we wanted and there is a lovely pool with plenty of shade. Outdoor dining for every meal if required. Great breakfasts and lunch and diner. The reason I gave it 5 stars (which is unlike me) is the staff, great English, attentiveness and friendliness. Nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend if you and a peaceful, relaxing break. Grazie Mille!

The hotel was pleasant enough but was too quiet and lacked atmosphere. Fortunately we only used it as a base so didn't spend any time there which is basically how I would view the hotel. A decent base.

Dårlig og shabby - også utendørs

Bildene og beliggenhet virket forlokkende men vi ble skuffet når vi ankom og fikk se fasilitetene. Rommet var lite. Fellesområder som resepsjon og restaurant var mørkt og dystert. I tillegg svært kaldt, så vi måtte ha på varme klær til middag. Dette til tross for at det var en dagtemperatur på 24 grader. Uteområdet var shabby, det var henslengte ting rundt bygningen og i uteområdet. Det var ustelt i hele uteområdet. Servicen var fullstendig fraværende og vi fikk kun respons når vi selv henvendte oss til personalet. Frokosten besto nesten bare av kaker. Noen tynne skiver kokt skinke og tynne skiver ost og det ble aldri fylt opp før gjestene selv ba om det. De som ikke ba om mer, ble uten. Etter to uker i Puglia var dette det trasigste hotellet vi har bodd på.

Enestående ophold

Fra det øjeblik porten til Villa delle Querce gik op ramte roen os og vi blev ført ind i en helt anden verden. Dette er et helt enestående hotel drevet af 3. generation. Personalet og servicen er i særklasse - måske det bedste vi nogensinde har oplevet. Vi skulle med en flyver kl. 6 og forlod derfor hotellet kl. 3:45 om morgenen. Natportien tilbød som det mest naturlige at lave morgenmad til os. Morgenmaden er fin og der er hvad, der skal være. Menukortet er ikke stort, men gør dig selv den tjeneste, at tage aftensmad på stedet, hvor I kan spise udenfor under lanterne. Poolen er virkelig flot og perfekt til vandhunde i alle aldre. Og med kun 11 værelser på hotellet, er der ingen grund til at stå op kl. 6 for at lægge håndklæder på liggestolene. Her er rigelig med plads til alle. Er alt perfekt? Nej, bestemt ikke, men det er netop pointen. Det behøver ikke være perfekt, for at være enestående. Det er nemlig autentisk og her bliver du mødt med smil og hjertevarme. Jeg kan varmt anbefale Villa delle Querce hvis I ønsker et ophold ud over det sædvanlige. Min kone og jeg har lovet hinanden, at vi kommer tilbage til 'vores sted' ved Bari.

A hidden gem outside of Bari

We had an amazing stay here! The photos are extremely accurate and really don’t do the property justice. Staff were helpful and professional…especially Jimmy who was proud to recommend lunch spots in the nearby centre of Palo. Location is close to the airport but a bit isolated. Car recommended or do like we did and enjoy the magnificent surroundings of the property. Pool was good and never crowded. The restaurant menu is limited to maybe 10 dishes but there were specials everyday and it was well priced for a resort setting. Breakfast was as to be expected. Plenty of parking for those who drive (with plenty of olive trees in full bloom) Would stay again!
